Sejarah
Pada tahun 1970 Pastor Wayman Mitchell pergi ke kota kecil Prescott, Arizona, Amerika Serikat. Seiring waktu, Tuhan mulai mengungkapkan rencanaNya tentang pemuridan: Melatih pasangan muda untuk pelayanan di gereja lokal. Dari Prescott, sebuah api spiritual diluncurkan yang membentang dunia. Sejak saat itu, seribu gereja telah tertanam dengan kampanye dan konferensi, menyentuh puluhan ribu jiwa tiap tahunnya. Saat ini, ada lebih dari 3300 gereja di 139 negara di dunia.
Belanda
Gereja pertama yang di Belanda ditanam oleh Pastor Wayman Mitchell pada tahun 1978 melalui sebuah kelompok kecil pendalaman Alkitab. Kelompok ini terdiri dari sekitar 30 orang. Gereja di Zwolle ini sekarang bertanggung jawab dalam menyelenggarakan konferensi mereka sendiri setiap 6 bulan di bawah kepemimpinan Pastor Nomdo Schuitema. Konferensi tersebut dihadiri oleh banyak perwakilan dari berbagai negara. "The Door Netherlands" memiliki sekitar 55 gereja di Belanda dan sekitar 25 misionaris dan pastor lokal di negara lain seperti: Afrika Selatan, Peru, Curaçao, Suriname, China, Republik Cheska, Portugal, Aruba, Kepulauan Tanjung Verde dan Indonesia.
Jakarta
The Door Ministry Indonesia ditanam oleh gereja Belanda pada tahun 2012. Gereja kami dimulai dengan aksi penginjilan di mal dan di jalanan. Sebagian besar jemaat kita terdiri dari orang-orang yang diubah oleh kuasa Tuhan. Sementara mereka terus bersekutu dan belajar tentang prinsip-prinsip dasar Alkitab, mereka menetapkan langkah untuk hidup bagi Tuhan, meninggalkan tradisi lama dan hanya mengejar keinginan yang tulus untuk melayani Tuhan dengan mengabarkan kepada orang lain tentang rencana keselamatan-Nya yang indah. Kami pertama kali memulai di daerah Grogol dan pada tahun 2017 gereja kami pindah ke daerah Cengkareng, Taman Palem. Tugas kami sebagai orang percaya, dan sebagai gereja lokal adalah untuk berdoa, melatih, menginvestasikan, mengirim dan mendukung pekerja untuk pergi ke semua kota dan kepulauan di Indonesia dan ke seluruh dunia!
Nama "The Door" yang berarti “Pintu”, diangkat dari nas:
Yohanes 10:9 (Yesus berbicara) Akulah pintu. Siapa yang masuk melalui Aku akan diselamatkan.
Dalam kehidupan, kita sering membutuhkan akses yang tepat untuk melangkah maju. Di surga, Yesus berkata, hanya ada satu akses/jalan yang dibutuhkan untuk beralih dari kehidupan ini menuju kehidupan surgawi, yaitu melalui Yesus sebagai 'pintu'.
1 Timotius 2:5 Karena hanya ada satuTuhan dan hanya ada satu yang dapat mimimpin manusia kepada Tuhan, yaitu Kristus Yesus.
Yesus juga menjelaskan hal ini saat dia berkata "Akulah Pintu". Didalam nas:
Wahyu 3:20 Dia berkata bahwa aku berdiri di muka pintu ...
Bukan sebagai orang yang menghalangi jalan, tetapi sebagai pribadi yang mengundang Anda untuk datang kepada-Nya. Nama Gereja kami menerangkan bahwa Yesus adalah satu-satunya jalan. Tujuan dan aktivitas kami untuk memperkenalkan nama Yesus sebab Dia adalah pintu gerbang. Dia sendiri adalah pintu masuk ke surga.
In 1970 Pastor Wayman Mitchell went to the small town of Prescott, Arizona, United States. Over time, God began to reveal His plan of discipleship: Training young couples for ministry within a local church. From Prescott, a spiritual fire was launched that is spanning the globe. Since that time over a thousand churches have been planted with crusades and conferences touching tens of thousands every year. To date, there are over 2700 churches in 127 nations of the world.
The Netherlands
The first church in The Netherlands was planted in 1978 with a small bible study group. The group consisted in about 30 people. The church in Zwolle is now responsible for hosting their own conference every 6 months under the leadership of Pastor Nomdo Schuitema. In this conference many different countries are represented. "The Door Netherlands" has about 55 churches in The Netherlands and about 25 missionaries and local pastors in other countries like: South Africa, Peru, Curaçao, Surinam, China, Czech-Republic, Portugal, Aruba, Cape Verde Islands and Indonesia.

The Door Ministry Indonesia was planted out of The Netherlands church in 2012. Our church began by evangelizing in malls and on the streets. Most of our congregation consists of people converted by the Power of God. As they continued to fellowship and were teached basic bible principles, they set on a course to live for God, leaving behind old traditions and simply pursuing a genuine desire to serve God telling others about His wonderful plan of salvation. We first started in the area of Grogol and in 2017 our church moved to the area of Cengkareng, Taman Palem. Our job as believers, and as the local church is to pray, train, invest, send and support workers to go into all the cities and islands of Indonesia and into rest of the world!
Our church name "The Door" is taken from this scripture:
John 10:9 (Jesus speaking) I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved.
In life, we often need the right contact to move forward. In heaven, Jesus said, there is only one contact to move from this life to the heavenly life.
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
Jesus also made this clear when he said “I am the Door.”
Revelations 3:20 He said I stand at the door ...
Not as one who stands in the way but as He who invites you to come to Him. Our Church name suggests that Jesus is the only way. He is the portal. He alone is the doorway to heaven.
